Graphics and Multimedia Team

Inquiry Learning Solutions graphics and multimedia team with dedicated four member team now boasts a wide range of skills to deliver content and to help build advanced user interfaces:
advanced Web 2.0 interactive graphics, video post production, 2D and 3D animations to web based graphical user interfaces.

Farewell

Early this month, Anupam (fifth from left), one of our senior developers whose contribution to FolioMaker version 3 and Pro is outstanding, left us for a new position in Bombay. Anupam was a very able and dedicated team player, and perhaps one of the hardest workers in the company who never ever complained however tough the assignments were. Anupam was a true friend and mentor for anyone in the company who needed it. We wish him all the success that he deserves in life and look forward to the day when our paths may meet again, in work or in social life.

Anupam is a specialist in MFC C++ and integrated web based UIs and technology for various components of FolioMaker. He also created or helped to develop some of the value-added plugins for FM such the IntroMaker or Narration tool.

Organisational Changes

Inquiry Learning Solutions, which has been the development centre of Inquiry Learning Pty. Ltd., Australia and through an agreement also the exclusive development centre for Folios International Pty. Ltd., Australia has now terminated it's contract with Folios International. Inquiry Learning Pty. Ltd. will very soon have it's own website and continue to develop, market and support InquirySys and associated website services independently from Folios International.

Weekend Escape (message from Shubho)

Plan a great weekend escape to Mandarmoni beach this summer. The popular Digha sea beach is usually full of tourists especially in this season. But take the battered road a few kilometres on the road to Digha and you will hit Mandarmoni beach with a series of relatively new resorts lined up on a stretch of sandy beach which spawns from one river mouth (mohana) to another. Cleaner, less infested by crowds of weekend holiday-makers from all over south bengal, it's a nice destination to spend a few days frolicking in the cleaner water and warm sands. Remember to carry your own drinks and snacks as there are limited options, and usually what is available is at least two times the normal going rate in the city.

Electricity still hasn't reached Mandarmoni so the resorts run on generators. If you must have the creature comforts, a AC room for two on a weekend can be anything between Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2500. There are more tackier and expensive places which I would avoid. Our Rs. 1000 room was clean and comfortable, and when we kept the windows and doors open, the sea breeze was enough to keep the place cool and pleasant all day and night long (and blow in a lot of sand!).
